FESTIVALS      Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival annual September event heralds GRAPE HARVEST in the town of Sonoma. Weekends throughout Sonoma County feature celebrations.

HISTORIC SITES - SONOMA      Here Native Americans encamped leaving arrowhead artifacts 100s and thousands of years ago, and in 1800's, Chief Solano, Suysunez leader, made friends with General Mariano Vallejo.      Vallejo later involved in Bear Flag Revolt of 1846 in Sonoma Plaza with my great-great Uncle on my mother's side, William B. Ide, the first Governor of the "Republic of California".
